Problem

I was tasked with updating the color palette for the Office Monoline icon set to address accessibility requirement, as well as creating several new color palettes to support darker themes. The new color palettes needed to work with already existing vector icons without having to make additional design changes to the icons.

Solution

I research the issue by running a user test, interviewing users with accessibility needs, analyzing user feedback, and reviewing icon accessibility standards. Explored and developed several new palette options, incorporated feedback from stakeholders and presented solutions to leadership. After the new palettes were finalized, created a script to generate code needed to update the icons color palettes.
